90’s Sailor Moon had a lot of character songs, but even with so many there was a notable omission in the area of duets.
Sailor Moon Crystal changes that. The Infinity arc goes through three ending songs in 13 episodes, each focused on a different character(s) and sung by their voice actors/actresses. The second is Chibiusa’s and the third is Tuxedo Mask’s, but it’s the first that I’m talking about, “Eternal Eternity” sung by Junko Minagawa and Sayaka Ohara. Haruka and Michiru, AKA Sailors Uranus and Neptune, get an ending to themselves and finally get a song together after all these years, and it is yuritastic.

I was nominated for the Sunshine Award.
Thank you, mocorochi. I’m fairly sure we both discovered each other’s blogs when doing the 30 Day Anime Challenge at the same time.
“sailor moon 8 bit music” – here
“bird transformations cartoon pictures” – uh…
“violence jack and devil man crossover” – I think the basic idea is that the main character of Violence Jack is a reincarnation of the main character of Devilman, after the universe gets reset or something.
“coleco gemini donkey kong” – My first video game!
“best super robot transformation” – How about this one:
“mecha that changed anime” – That might be worth a whole post, but for now, a partial list: the four most influential mecha series, in chronological order, are probably Mazinger Z, Gundam, Macross, and Evangelion.
“if the law of equivalent exchange in fullmetal alchemist is a scientific law how can it be ignored” – That’s really specific. My answer would be because it’s not a truly absolute law, it’s just close enough to be treated as one in everyday situations. Similar to Newton’s law of gravity in real life; it’s not 100% absolute, but outside of extreme situations the differences between it and general relativity are small enough to ignore for practical purposes.
“super cartoon smash ball z great ape” – I have no idea what this person was looking for.
“facebook spellcheck doesn’t recognize scientific names” – I’m not surprised.
There are two pairs in the challenge where one calls for a male character and the other for a female character. Okay, that’s gender-balanced, but what about characters who don’t fall into either category? Now, I’ve noticed that my choices have already been leaning a little toward the androgynous anyway, but some of these are really outside the gender binary for one reason or another. I don’t think I can avoid referring to these characters with gendered pronouns, though.
And this is going to be a long one because I’m naming multiple characters.
Unfortunately, I think my very favorite character out of ones that can be called genderless is one that I easily could just get away with calling male.
Piccolo. Piccolo Jr., technically. Piccolo actually was one of the ones I considered as a possibility for my favorite male supporting character, but he’s actually from a species that doesn’t have either sex or gender. All Namekians look and sound more masculine than feminine by human standards, but they don’t seem to really have gender themselves, though there’s never any focus on this either.

I already posted about how cool Sailor Uranus is.
I said the Outer Senshi’s (Sailors Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn; Sailor Pluto is tall because Sailor Moon was made before Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet) music was good, so here it is.
“Favorite female anime character ever”
Sailor Uranus, or Haruka Tenoh. Despite everything, Sailor Moon is a series that hasn’t been surpassed in this regard. Sailor Uranus is “the cool one” in the group that’s already cooler than the main five all around.

“Very first anime you watched”
I have very vague memories of…whichever dub of Gatchaman was on TV in the early 80s (I think it was G-Force), but I’m not sure that should count.
The first anime I watched after being old enough to care what I watched was probably Voltron. The first few Lion Force episodes, to be specific.

Hair in anime and video games can be any color of the visible spectrum and defy the laws of physics.
This is my list of 21 of the weirdest, most unrealistic, or just plain crazy examples of hairstyles in anime, manga, and video games.
(It was going to be top 20 but then I remembered an obvious one and didn’t want to take anyone off the list.)
#21. Cutie Honey
Though her original incarnation technically wasn’t a magical girl, this android is close enough to be considered the prototype of the “magical girl warrior” subgenre that includes Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure.
And she’s on the list because she’s a girl with the same kind of sideburns as every other Go Nagai protagonist.
Studio Megaane makes 8-bit versions of various songs, and as a rule, they tend to be really good. Here’s the classic Sailor Moon theme in 8-bit style.
