Not too long ago, it was announced that Naruto is ending soon; that’s not my answer, it’s just a good reminder that even the longest series eventually end. Of course, some series are better suited to have indefinite lengths than others.

30 Day Anime Challenge Day 21: Goofy Character

“Favorite goofy anime character”

I like the archetype of a character who can switch between goofy and serious, but I think my answer to this isn’t going to be one of those. So, someone from a comedy anime, right? Well, I thought about several, but no, actually, my answer is


Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, also known as Radical Edward, from Cowboy Bebop. The name (which she made up herself) already gets her off to a great start toward being one of the goofiest characters to appear in anything that’s not completely a zany comedy. A hacker whose reputation before we see her consists of crazy rumors, Ed is a good example of a character who can accomplish things in serious situations while still being goofy. You also wouldn’t expect anyone this wacky to be good at chess, but she doesn’t act serious while displaying that ability either.
