The next Super Robot Wars game has been announced, and this time there’s an English trailer from the start.

10. Gurren Lagann, “Sorairo Days” by Nakagawa Shouko

I love the way the third opening actually uses the later part of the song.

Incidentally, it just edged out the opening for New Getter Robo. Even on this list Gurren Lagann overshadows what it homages.

Song Challenge Day 25: Acoustic song

“An acoustic song you love”

How about four? I just happened to find this medley around the time I needed to decide what song to use here. It’s JAM Project, unplugged and playing the instruments themselves. The songs are “Fire Wars” (Mazinkaiser), “Nageki no Rosario” (Gravion), “STORM” (Shin Getter Robo vs. Neo Getter Robo), and “DRAGON” (New Getter Robo).

Awesome Music Thursday: Mazin Kenzan

I got Mazinkaiser on DVD for Christmas. For the record (since with it being in a double pack with Shuten Doji and all, I could understand someone being unsure about this), it does not include Mazinkaiser vs. Ankoku Daishogun. (Sometimes translated as Mazinkainser vs. The Great General of Darkness, despite indications that Ankoku Daishogun is actually the villain’s name, not a title.)

Which means I haven’t actually heard this song in it’s original context: Mazin Kenzan (The Demon God Awakens) by JAM Project.
